Accessing Custom Brushes-- By Curtllewis
For those of you who are new to Paint Shop Pro, I thought it might be helpful to explain how to access your custom brushes for you to use and have fun with.
Click on any tool that accesses the brush types button on the Tool Options palette.
Custom brushes can be used with six tools listed Below - not just the paintbrush!
Now go to your Tool Options palette by side clicking the tool you have selected, and click on the second tab at the top - the Cursor & Tablet Options tab (Image 1 below). Make sure you have "Show brush outlines" checked. I like to have "Use precise cursors" active too, but that's more of a personal preference. Go back to your main Tool Options tab and click on the brush types button (Image 2 below), and then click "Custom" (Image 3 below).
You should now have the Custom Brush dialog box on your screen, click on the arrow to the right of the preview window (Image 4) to open a fly-out window will show you a thumbnail all the custom brushes that are currently loaded (Image 5). Select the picture of the brush you would like to use and click ok, then you are ready to have fun making cool images!, Repeat the process to change the brush.
